Justin Sun on the Future of AI & Blockchain: Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators
In a compelling dialogue with Simon Squibb, TRON founder Justin Sun outlines his vision for AI integration, space exploration, and democratizing global education through decentralized technology.
Space and the Ultimate Dream
Simon: What is your dream and how are you going to achieve it?
Justin: Going to the moon. I won a bid with Blue Origin and went to space last August. I truly want to be the first commercial astronaut to go to the moon. In the future, we will keep finding ways to lower the cost so everybody with a dream to go to space can actually do it.
Convergence of AI and Blockchain
Simon: People are a bit scared of AI, but some are excited. What is your take?
Justin: AI is definitely going to change our lives completely in a good way. I talk with AI 90% of the time today; it gives me really good advice.
Simon: Do you see AI and blockchain converging in the future?
Justin: Yes, that is exactly what we are doing. Blockchain is building the financial infrastructure for AI. On our platform, you can pay crypto to get AI tokens on a pay-as-you-go basis, which is extremely cheap.
Restructuring the Education System
Simon: The education system let me down. Can AI fix it?
Justin: Of course. The knowledge tested today is often 50 years obsolete. With AI, a kid in Tanzania can get the same exposure to knowledge as a kid in New York, as long as they have a smartphone. To help overcome the cost barrier, our platform gives 1 million free points to everyone to try AI.
Breakthrough Advice for Young People
Simon: If you were 18 today with no money and no network, what would you do?
Justin: I would invest my time and energy into Bitcoin. If without Bitcoin, I would find an industry that can really change people's lives: space exploration, AI, robotics, drones, and blockchain.
Simon: What about the millions of graduates who cannot find jobs?
Justin: They need to get on an AI platform, genuinely share their life story, and ask AI for advice on what to try. Most people just wait for a job promised by the government and never ask themselves what they actually like doing.
Work Motivation After Financial Freedom
Simon: You do not have to work, but you work really hard. Why?
Justin: It is about finding an industry you really want to work in. Perfecting a product or technology that benefits the world and changes humanity is amazing. We learn and grow when we work, and helping humanity be better gives us a reason to live.
The 6.2 Million Banana Revealed
Simon: Was the banana tasty? Why did you do it?
Justin: Yes, I ate it, and it was very tasty. It is conceptual art. When you find a banana taped to the wall in a museum alongside the Mona Lisa, it reminds us what real art looks like.
Simon: I have a "dream orange". Would you buy it for 1 million dollars to fund people's dreams?
Justin: No.
